First let me state that this donation drive for the homeless registrants camp of Miami,Fl was the set goal of Derek Logue of OnceFallen.com , http://once-fallen.blogspot.com/2016/11/donation-drive-for-miami-homeless-camp.html, that https://www.womenagainstregistry.org/Florida assisted with.

After viewing Derek's blog on the homeless registrant donation drive we, WARofFL, chose to assist Derek spread some Holiday cheer to those that had none. WARofFL is based in the Tampa Bay area and only a four hour drive from Miami. Derek Logue and WARofFL decided to team together to make the holiday more happy for the homeless.

WARofFL was able to purchase many of the items with donated funds Derek Logue sent to me via paypal, since Derek was limited on what he could transport with him on his bus trip. With the funds Derek sent we were able to purchase many of the hygiene items which are not often donated. Even with all donated funds Derek was barely able to raise enough to make the amount needed for the items..but it was met..

After packing the van with boxes of underwear, socks, laundry detergent, soap and donated clothing, members of W.A.R headed off to Miami. After meeting up with Derek at a Walmart not far from the homeless site he directed us to the registrant encampment where we set up table to unload, separate and put together gift bags for those in need.

Due to my wife's poor health we were only able to stay a few hours. Derek completed the packaging and later distributed the gift's to the homeless. All in all it went well and Derek sent a text later that night to inform me that distribution went great and many registrants there were grateful. No one should be forced to live their life's in "Third world country" conditions such as these registrants currently are. These registrants need help..laws need to change.

WARofFlorida gives thanks and appreciation to Derek for starting this drive and to those that donated to the cause of these homeless Miami,Fl registrants.
